Please bear with me on the photo and post format.....lol This appears to be pottery of some type. It almost seemed like it would make a good handle for a knife or something

Sherry that looks to be a piece of iron stone sediment that formed around some other item, like a root or something that was much softer. Sorry it's natural, I find items like that a lot.
