In 1998, Russia reintroduced the kopek and valued it at 1/100th of a ruble. At the beginning of 2000, it took 27 rubles to equal $1.00; or 2700 kopeks to equal a dollar--if my math is right--which is no guarantee. If math correct, that would have made this coin worth about 2 cents in 2000; twice as high as an Ebay opening bid today for a similar coin.
