Without actually holding it, it hard to tell if if was worked, but my guess is it's a natural stone. Mother nature can do some very odd things to stone over thousands of years of erosion.

Yeah, and the color of grass is purple on tuesdays and red on saturdays. its obvious that this is not natural. now if a professional inidan artifact collector offered me hundreds of dollars for this rock.... do you really think this was made by nature? show me a rock that resembles this rock and ill be on my way

Don't get so bent out of shape! They are just giving an opinion of what it looks like. They are not trying to be mean! I've put stuff on here that I have thought is 1 thing but then it turns out is something else. You may look at it & say it's a diamond, someone who knows a little more may say it's Cubic Zirconia ! Besides YOU came on here & asked for advice!

Chill out dude. You asked for opinions and I gave you mine and that comes with 44 years of collecting artifacts in the state of Ohio. If someone offered you hundreds of dollars for the rock then by all means sell it. Like they say, a fool and his money are soon parted.

By the way, I could take you to any creek in southern Ohio and show you hundreds if not thousands of rocks just like that one.

I also have some Ohio hay field paint rocks for sale. All interested parties please PM me.
Thanks,
Chuck
