I reeled this one in at the last moment at 8:00 pm tonight. It was right beside a dozer where I have permission at a construction site in Nashville TN. It was in a dirt pile that was 10 inches tall. I barely got a 45 reading on the F75. I kicked the dirt pile away and the Plate was another 8 inches deep. It rang at 55 once I kicked the dirt pile away. I think this Eagle Breast Plate would have been hauled off tomorrow if I had not recovered it.

I agree with Brendan75. Some real nice finds that would look great in a display case. Congrats

Congratualtions on the nice piece of history! :occasion14:

That's a great save indeed!!
No telling what gets lost for ever in the name of progress.
Congratulations on a great hunt and I hope you get back there and save some more.

Lots of times people write 'nice save'. In this case, you LITERALLY saved history!

Congrats and great job! Enjoy that thing forever.

Nice one. It's been living a charmed life - survived the war, survived the dozer, and just missed getting hauled away to oblivion :occasion14:

Awesome save hate to think what has been hauled away already, Congrats.

Great find and excellent historical save! Congratulations!

WTG.
Gonna wear it out "Great Save" IMO some 80% + of the Non -Protected Sites in the Metro Atlanta area have been / being developed.

It's in super shape as well.
