This old Oak does point to something....

Not sure if this old oak in North Georgia is a "trail tree" or "treasure tree", but a friend of mine (who took this picture) did have the best day gold panning in 10 years in the direction that the huge bottom limb is pointing, which is to a small creek about 100 yards away. I've included a pic of gold from this creek.

Wow..bet you will keep eye open for trees like that in the future!

Thanks for sharing. I guess most anything of value was marked, be it water, minerals valuable or nor, game area, by someone!
