This monthes road trip "lousy hotels, conferences, and some good finds"
Ok one lousy hotel just stayed 2nights. We had to attend a conference in Charleston SC, this weekend. We didnt stay at our usual hotel and this proved to be the biggest thorn of the weekend. I didnt have to work friday, so we detected down to Charleston stopping at couple of spots. The first spot looked like the kids on the playground were throwing pennies at eachother, as we found close to 70 pennies in a small playground . The second place we detected scored both of us a gold ring. We finally got into Charleston area little before 6:00 and before checking into the hotel, we hit a spot that produced some clad and junk ring. Friday night Bobbies allergies went berzerk,in the hotel, and so she didnt sleep much I wanted to check out and head to another hotel, but she said she would be ok
Sat after the conference ended for the day we got out and detected couple of spots, producing clad for the both of us. Bobbie found 43 merc at 1 place, while the other 2 produced the the gold bead earring and silver ring with the pink stone. We got back to the hotel around 7:00 and we had no airconditioning in the room needless to say it was a miserable night and the hotels staff response to our problem was even more miserable.
Bobbie finally got to sleep little after midnight but was awake off and on through out the night. with her allergies plus the temp of the room. Sunday morning when she got up she was still feeling lousy and felt like just checking out and heading home. We stopped at a couple of spots on way home and got the other gold earring and we both got some clad.
The corporate web page for chain we stayed at has already been notified of our dealings with that hotel and the hotels GM deducted the saturday night .
So ended this monthes road trip, a good conference, few good finds for both of us, but a learning lesson on where not to stay.
