This May Look Like a Normal ATM Machine ? Trust Us, It?s Not (and a Few Key Words on It Give It Away) | TheBlaze.com

It may look like a normal ATM machine gracing the New York City streets — but it most definitely is not, as noted by local blog Scouting New York.

An ATM machine in New York City actually dispenses gold.

Scouting New York’s Nick Carr wrote on his website that he was looking for office space when he “happened to walk by Stack’s Rare Coins shop” and notice “what looked sort of like an ATM out front.”

As it turns out, it was an ATM machine — just not an ordinary one.

It dispenses gold.

According to Carr, individuals simply insert a credit or debit card and are presented with several options to purchase gold.

1 ounce is priced at about $1,325, 10 grams at $490 and 5 grams at $255 (prices are based on realtime value and updated several times a minute).

After selecting an option and completing payment, the ATM machine dispenses your choice of either gold or silver coins.
