That is a cool old picture. Is that a postcared? Is the walkway and bridge still there. THat is pretty cool that you can stand on the same spot that someone did when they made that picture....Good Luck and hope you make some great finds..

Dave

Some pictures of what the site looks like now will be great.... All the best, think you will do well.

God bless
Peter

Hey!! Wait for me!!

I don't think she heard a word I said. Must be too busy digging silver.
Great looking site!! Hope to hear of some nice finds. HH

nuttin honey. :-\

It was cold and windy...I found 1 penny, 1976.

I'll go back when it's warmer as I know there have got to be some goodies there.

:) I don't think your going to need any luck ! With the information you have shared with us ....I think you will have no problem finding many lost goodie and coins from all those folks that attended that Park.....Looking forward to the posts from your adventure.....Seeker :)

i hunted a similar place a few months ago. now it is mostly developed with a small wooded area with some foundations. i found a merc and a barber dime. also a childs teacup from an old tea set. im sure i wasnt the only one to hunt this spot because on two return trips i was skunked!it just seems like there should have been more.i hope your park has been a well kept secret over the last 100 years! it could pay off bigtime!

After further research, I now know that I was at the wrong park. The postcard above shows the location as Greensburg, PA. That is actually wrong. It is one town west of me. The footbridge and scenery is identical to a park we have in my town, but I was wrong. No wonder I didn't find anything! :D

DD,

if the footbridge and scenery is identical to a park
near you, they may both have been built by the
same company.

Electric trolly/rr companies built the parks to attract
passangers.

My experience is that these type of parks have been
hunted hard in the past. But you never know.

have a good un.......

Awsome place Diva ;

Did you get back yet ?

Hope to see your finds and a picture of what it looks like today, very interesting and potetial site! HH, Mike

I have a place like that with a slight problem. It has been the city dump for the last thirty years. HH Burdie

DigginDiva,
