Zip zilch nadda nothing not even a flake. Been waiting for the loggers to get done for a few weeks and finally got out there today. Thought this spot would yield but it didn't. Granted there was snow and they didn't really disturb too much ground, still a lot of leaf cover, not to mention the snow. I'll have to go over it again a couple times before I rule it out. I do have some other spots to check this weekend, spots like this that I have high hopes for. We'll see :dontknow:

That is part of this hobby. If we found stuff every time we would soon be bored, lol I woud like to try bored though :laughing7:
Hang in there. Looks like a tough area. What would attract a camp or activity there do you think ?

Tough conditions there, how far away is the nearest water source? tomorrow is looking good here, sunny and 45. Then they're saying cold and a foot of snow possibly. Might be my last hunt till spring.

Yeah a foot of snow doesn't sound good. Hope you do good out there 37. I'll be taking advantage of the good weather day tomarrow too. The nearest big water source is close to a mile, but there is a small creek running through the clearcut. TN here in s. ohio the adena and hopewell seemed to have taken advantage of nearly every hilltop near the big creek and areas within a mile or so of it. Rarely do I get into a clearcut that doesn't produce. Will be checking out another one tomarrow, and possibly another place that some deer hunters found six nice points, where someone is doing dozer work around half mile through the woods from this clearcut I visited today.

Good luck Man the scenery is pretty. I can not wait to get back to artifacts right now in this area its civil war hunting time. In January I get out the boat : ) Good luck on your next site I bet you do well.

Just curious, but what part of southern Ohio are you in. I was just wondering how close you were to me. I'm in Scioto county, just east of Portsmouth and right on the Ohio River.

Brings back memories. When I first started hunting, I never found a thing for 4 whole months, hunting all day everyday too.
It's dissappointing to say the least but, like TN said, its all part of this hobby. Takes patience & lots of walking/diggin'
Looks like a decent place to hunt, maybe once the weather brightens you will have some luck.
Good Luck, look forwards to seeing what you find, in the future.

Molly.
