This, I'm almost certain, is probably a first not only for me but for everyone else.

So I went to an old church site where I dug a 1903 IH and was hoping to find more goodies. After digging several nails, I got a similar hit with the AT Pro and didn't want to pass it up because of the nails possibly masking the "nectar".
I dig my plug and turn the dirt over and I just stare in bewilderment (happens a lot...lol). There were approx. 10 of these little guys (red-eared sliders) that had recently hatched just squirming around. Thank God I didn't hurt any of them when I dug the plug. I gently placed the dirt back and let them do their thing.

I think they were guarding the treasure!

nature is pretty darn cool, it is life or death all the time and this is some new life in the works

Pretty neat. I found 3 turtle eggs last month, but they were laid on top of ground in a wash.

I dug a handful of those planting bulbs!

Pretty cool find. I did not know they hatched underground like that.

Neat, I dug a 4 inch long Leech once by a mail box, covered it back up fast !

Cool find & pic----so what was the target?

What number did they come up on the At Pro? Lol. Cool find.

Very Cool..

Their some Lucky little Buggers.

Your a Good Person to carefully Cover them back up & let them do their thing.

Different, very cool find.Nice photo to go with it. Never saw hatchlings before. Thanks for posting.

Thats awesome! MD'ing is a SHELL game, you never know which one it's going to be under.:laughing7:

No soup for you!
Actually, with my eyesight, all that squirming in the hole would have freaked me out.
Kudos!

Can you imagine the signal you got was a ring and it was around one of the turtles neck and he was in the hole with it hahah that'd be a hell of a story! Nice find

WHAT ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

that's amazing, really really neat!

Since you put them back, they will probably be more than happy to "detail" your next silver coin before you dig it out!
Nice saves!
