Quarts watch battery?

That would be one huge watch... :o

How-a-bout a knockout to an electrical box? The larger cable holes on the bottom? That indicating the bottom of the box...

If it's concave on the up side then it could be a Freeze Plug.

It looks like it may have been part of a firework maybe? Like a spinner or saucer that goes straight up (sometimes!!!) in a shower of sparks. You place that side down on a flat surface, light fuse and get away. Just a thought.

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the ideas. The measurements are 2 3/8" wide and 1/8" thick. It is painted black on the back and it looks like it may have been that way when it was made. It doesn't have sharp edges and it doesn't look like it was punched out of an electrical box either. It is perfectly flat also. This thing really stumps me and any ideas will be appreciated. I'll post 2 more pics of it to look at. Thanks a bunch all.

The edge does look like it was die punched. Possibly this is from a sub-step part in an assembly line that moved between machines or factories. Having that stamped in a spot on the pattern that would be punched out allowed a way of guaranteeing the part was proper side up when that one and probably other holes were punched.

Just a guess.

We have a winner, as this is what I thought as well.
