Howdy Folks. Started out at Lowell Park again and they had the access roads blocked that lead to the Rock River so I decided to hunt the upper portion of the park around some limestone shelters. Notorious drinking spots they are severely littered with pull tabs, crown caps, and foil. The skeeters drained me of a few ounces of blood but, I kept on a truckin'. Got a 1936 wheat next to the tree along the road. Silver suckers must have left it for me. Picked up a 1950 D & 1951 D wheatie along the road as well. Found the "F" Ford truck emblem. Decided to grab a bite to eat and then hit a school for awhile. Nothing there so I scoped out a construction sight where an old home was demolished. It was after sundown and I crept in stealthily. First signal was a penny hit and I gave it a quick spit polish and saw a lovely Indian. Too dark to date so I kept moving. Got a suspender buckle. Of course I got another Rogers Bros. plated spoon. Then I got a button or pin thingy. I am not sure what the toasted copper coin is. It seems smaller than a penny? I may never get any detail from it. I was pretty tuckered and headed for ice cream. When I arrived home I grabbed my good finds and cleaned off my Indian and caught the 1859 date and let out a WAR CRY and did my Happy Dance! WOO HOO! My second only "F"atty Indian Head Penny and she's got a nice bold liberty. A bit crusty on the obverse but I will carefully clean it over time and get her presentable. I was ecstatic. So my "F" emblem I dug earlier must have been a prophetic symbol. Ya' never know when fortune will turn in your favor. Thanks for stopping in. Kurios1
