This afternoon's fun

Enough snow melted to make it fun playing in a couple yards with my MXT this afternoon. The clad must have been a pocket spill, it was in about a four inch diameter spot at 5" deep. no pennies. The aluminum tabs were shallow. The iron was deeper, around 8" for the big one and 4" for the washers, nails about 5". The car was at 7" and said "ring", sounded good. The boat was at 3" and also claimed to be a ring. The boat has small wheels set in the bottom. This neighborhood isn't old enough for silver, but I have found 2 copper pennies and 8 cheap pennies in the past several days, the ground is full of nails and other iron junk.

One solid hit that registers as a dime pinpoints as if it is an iron wheel and overloads the detector in pinpoint mode. Said the center was 1" deep, went down 3" and nothing there. Might try digging deeper, but don't know if I want to tear the yard up just to end up with an old bicycle wheel or what ever. :argue: That might be me and my wife if I do dig it up.
