This afternoon's finds.
Searched a small wooded area behind another old high school. This first picture shows a couple old insulators, a 1910 V Nickel, a 1918 Buffalo Nickel, 1918, 1940 and 1944 Wheat Cents and a religious medal (St. Stanislaw). I removed the thick copper wires that were wrapped around the insulators and cleaned them up pretty good.
This next find is the best Standing Liberty Quarter I've found in quite a while. It was 4 inches deep under a prickly bush. Soaked it in a solution of water and baking soda for about 3 hours and the dirt lifted right off.
