While detecting an old ball field I was digging nothing but can slaw and other assorted trash. I got what looked to be a shallow target. I put my trowel into the ground and as the grass on the top of the plug started to separate I spotted a nickel. Cool, first nickel in a couple of weeks. That first nickel was directly atop another nickel, then a cent, then two more nickels. I swept my Sidewinder over the spot and it was still giving a strong signal. Dug a plug and found 8 more coins. Several one a top another.

In total 7 nickels, one quarter, one dime, three Lincoln cents, and one Canadian cent. I went on to find five more coins including another nickel.
