colonial detecting 006.JPGDecorative pewter button, a match to one found at the same site previously
colonial detecting 002.JPGcolonial detecting 003.JPGAn amazing shape tombac dandy button
colonial detecting 008.JPGDomed button with decorative edge
colonial detecting 009.JPGTo me this looks like a key hole cover but really not sure? It has the word PATENT stamped on it. Can anyone confirm or know what it really is?
colonial detecting 005.JPGThis appears to maybe be a piece of a broken comb?

Looks like you have a good site. Keep digging everything.

Yes the magnetism of metal detecting especially when you encounter a magnetic site. Congrats.

SHOWTIME LOOKS LIKE YOU MADE THE BIG TIME . HECK OF A TOMBAC YOU GOT THERE AND THE DANDY ALSO............................VANZUTPHEN

Nice button

Those are some sweet old finds!!!!! Waiting to see a Spanish silver pop out!!!! :icon_thumleft:

Very nice finds. The piece that looks like an old comb could also be part of a harmonica reed ? Only casting my opinion because you had a question mark after it.

Does the decorative edge button measure 35mm? Have you gently cleaned that one better yet?

I just measured it to be 31mm haven't don't anything more than a light brushing with water.. Do you recognize the button?

I have found many harmonica reeds and none have looked like this but it wouldn't be out of the question to possibly be from a child's one I guess:dontknow:

35mm and it might of been a gw button. I had a button that looked like that and it turned out to be a gw. But from the experts it has to be 35mm. A really nice find. Buttons are one of my favorite to find.

Missed my chance by 4mm's :BangHead: haha I love finding old buttons too. The big tombac's tend to fool you a little when you see them in situ and gets you thinking silver coin :laughing7:
