Third silver of year and hints to find more...

So I've found my third silver of the year... first a 1964 d dime in my yard, a silver ring at the beach, and a 1947 s dime, once again in my yard ( house built in 1946) and am super exited about what else can be hidden here! I have a Garrett ace 250 and just got a Pro Pointer so am ready to check again with a new toy. The second dime pinged only once on my pass but I dug anyway and found her Gonna dig all targets and see what happens now... any tips for my machine? I'd post pics but using smart phone and not that sure how to do it from my phone yet

You are doing the right thing, digging all targets. You will learn your machine and what various targets sound like at depth's and possibly with near by trash. Keep a "Finds Log" at least for awhile as it can really make a difference in understanding regular finds as well as the odd sounds one gets.

Awesome buddy! I too use the Ace 250 and the propointer, and I will tell you, when it gets on a dime it to me is really noticable! I have found more silver dimes with my 250 than any other coin! I even have more silver dimes in my collection than pennies, both wheats and indians if you can believe it! Can't wait to see pics when you figure it out, I also am trying to figure out how to post pics with my phone! lol!

Thanks everyone! Usually a coin target with the 250 is very clear... I'm wondering if it only pinged once cause it was on edge and I didn't make a clear pass the second time over. I do the wiggle trick and if there's at least one time it hits both ways that's good enough for me I think the log is a great idea and am going to start doing that.
