think I got a deal

Did a few garage sales today. The last one we stopped at a great older lady about 91 she says, I have some things in the back if your interested well........I guess i ll take a gander. First buy ,a Frank leslie"s pictorial paper complete 1861 dated and the head lines all about the war. 10$ the second, a jar full of odd and ends jewelry a few 14cw many silver earrings 3$ last was a collection of crocks I have no Idea on how to find out what they are worth (the ones with the handles on ) there were 12 no cracks. sure wish I knew how to post pics. the set of body work tools (hammers, dollys etc) all new went for 5$ any ideas on the crocks?

From what I have seen of crocks they seem to go for ten dollars per gallon. So if those are 12 gallons they should be worth upwards of $120.

At any rate it sounds like you did pretty good. What is the date (month and day ) of the Leslie newspaper? Is it April 27th? Also what are the markings on some of the jewelry? 14cw
