Are you using original cullet?

Looks like Akro Agate glass. You're making these from the standard, colored glass rods? If I had dug up that marble I'd be thinking it was made during the 1920s/30s. I'm going to check out molds to see if I can make beads from the antique glasses I have.

Yep I'm not sure what kind of glass rods i am using as i am still new to things. but yep using my tourch and melting the rods to form a nice sized glab then sorta adding diffrent colors as i shape and melt. It's sad because all i want to do now is make marbles. I think the glass/marble bug bite me harder the the metal decting bug lol

if youre melt old glass make sure you use plenty of ventilation...i have a friend who got severly ill from the fumes and almost died....some of the old glass used chemicals that produce a noxious gas that can be fatal!!!

Marbles are like glass paperweights..

Websearch collectible glass paperweights and you will find that both they and marbles can become worlds-within-worlds in miniature 'It's sad because all i want to do now is make marbles. I think the glass/marble bug bite me harder then the metal decting bug lol'. Think there is more out there Horatio than is drempt of in the mind of man. An old saying that applies to your situation. From small acorns large oak trees grow applies, too.
