Rang up around a 62 on my AT Pro, which is how I knew it wasn't silver. Pennies ring around 76-79. Any ideas on a date or value for it?

That is a GREAT find. The contemporary counterfeits are a lot harder to get than the originals and can actually be worth more. The head facing right may be Carolus III, late 18th century. Kind of hard to tell.

That's what I was thinking as well. Any idea on value or how/why it was made? I haven't been able to find anything on it

I dug a counterfeit 8 reale cut piece of eight. It was from a Rev War camp. On the one I found, they made a mold, probably a sand mold using a real coin, then cast copies from it. It was made of pewter. The colonial Spanish also had lower denomination copper coins, sure it's not one of those? They probably would not have made a copy in copper. Depends on what your metal is.

I researched all over and I couldn't find any actual coils that matched this one. Not 100% sure of the metal. Could be pewter, bronze, or some other type of alloy. I really have no idea. Definitely one of my coolest finds though

I thought that might be it also, but the reverse design and obverse writing is different. The obverse of mine says HISPAN along the right side just like on the reales and the reverse has the pillars
