thingamajig?

does anyone know what these may be? the larger item looks to be a blade from an old pair of tin snips, except the sharp edge is on the opposite side from where it would be if it were. the smaller item is copper maybe 1"
any help would be great.

Pretty big & thick to be from tin snips. I'm thinking maybe from a pair of bolt cutters

Judging by the fact that it snapped in half, I'd say it was cast iron. That would pretty much eliminate it from being a modern cutting tool as they are usually made of steel.
