Thin and Ornate Piece of Brass. Looks Like a Bird's Beak?

No clue on this one! It's brass and very ornate. It measures around 3 inches in length. Reminds me of a bird's beak. Probably junk, but I need to know what is was used for! This spot has everything from KG III coins to recent junk, so it's hard for me to date this relic.

Looks like a spout from a water pitcher thats been broken off...

Geez, it seems so obvious now! Thanks! There's some solder on each side, so it must have attached to the pitcher that way. You're the man!
