Found this plate near wharf remnants. The area was in use for fishing camps 1880-1910, and some steamboat service. The item is thick brass. It appears to be cut in half. At the top of the "crescent" there is a hole to affix this to a wall? On the back side, there is a notch. I can’t imagine any building having more than two floors....
