This last week I was down at Collectors Edge here in Colorado, See Link - https://collectorsedge.com/ . I deal with these guys in their Rhodochrosite mine operation, which they are in the process of driving a new drift above the previous one they mined a few years ago. At there warehouse you can see many fascinating mineral specimens they travel the world to obtain as wholesalers to the mineral collecting market. The stories they tell me of the places they go to hunt these treasures down are nothing less that real life treasure hunting. Much of what they uncover are in museums and in the hands of collectors who are willing to pay big to add to their personal collections. These are just a few of the pictures of the marvelous treasures of the natural world these guys deal in. In the last picture you see these odd and plain looking concretions on a pallet. These are from South Dakota and what they find inside them very often can be a real surprise in the way of Barite Crystals you can see in this link. https://collectorsedge.com/pages/elk-creek-barite-meade-county-south-dakota. They're not just rocks they're minerals.
