I hit one of my regular Thrift stops that always has overpriced stuff. For example $500 for an Omega gold filled bumper redial in ok shape. I saw this in the case and immediately suspected it was gold due to the fine finish work. Sure enough it is clearly marked 14KT. I suspect the makers mark looked like a GF causing them to think it was gold filled. My first good piece of gold here. Boy my local thrift stores have been doing a great job at keeping the gold and silver completely unavailable, but yesterday they had a 14k gold nip Sheaffer desk pen for a $1.99. It doesn't have a base, but it's in good shape. Not really a special one to collectors and maybe worth 18 to 20 dollars.
