After a 5 inch rain the other day, I hit an old site I used to look regularly back in the day but hadn't been out there in a long time. The field had been harrowed and beat good by the storms, but damn if it wasn't covered in footprints. I found a few brokes here and there, before looking in a wash at the edge of the field where hundreds of little flakes had accumulated and spotted this little point. As usual, they look better in situ, 'cause turned out the tip was missing, but it sure beat nothing.

Every point found is a good find. It amazes me each time I pick one up that it is like a snowflake. Everyone hand made and no two are exactly alike.

That may be an old one man. The base looks like it has mucho grinding. Similar to San Patrice Hope a little further west of you but it's a corner notched piece I believe.

For around here, the light patina would normally keep me from thinking early. No grinding in the notches, and the base is either fractured or original to the flake it was made from. Old would've been nice though.
