Hit an inner city park for a little bit this evening and was working my way around the basketball court. As I approached the basket pole set at the edge of the pad on one end, I hit a series of solid coin signals and as I knelt to start to dig the first, I glanced over at the base of the pole and saw this.

Ended up being $2.60 in assorted clad, mostly pennies in about a 4 foot area including on the cement around the pole and in the grass around that. Only had to dig for four of the coins, which ended up being a pocket spill that was separate from the scattered surface stuff. Looks like somebody had less regard for the clad than most of the members here even do!!

No big scores on this outing, just a few copper cents, but I kinda expected that as this is a newer park and I was just needing to scratch the MD itch while on the road for work.

never argue with a blessing or a gift

Nope, you are 100% correct dirtlooter! I was just as happy to pick it all up and help out the battery fund. I have never been too proud to turn away from free money!

Nothing wrong with a freebie every now and then

Sometimes you have to get what is on top of the ground to get at what is underneath !!

Hey I take $ Anywhere I can Get it.

On, or in, the ground, it's a good find, in my book.
The treasures on the surface are helping me learn my machine and enjoy the excitement of finding the ones that I can't see, below.
