🔎 UNIDENTIFIED These are mysteries to me. The hexagon shaped piece is from a CA gold rush site and the other piece was in a nearby field. It is painted in army green

The long thing with the knob and spring resembles a pneumatic stay damper, like for a door closing cylinder. I’m guessing the rod pulls out the end and the knob adjusts the return speed of the stroke by limiting the airflow.

Pretty cool find Sog. Certainly goes to show you just never know what lies below the ground until you dig it up. Excellent identification Dozer Dan.

Wow! Looks dangerous to attach the grenade. I’ve seen various boobytraps that used grenades, but nothing designed and sold solely for that purpose.

Hi Blackfoot58 your first relic is from a very old hand drill 100 + year's old. That piece you found holds the Drill bit. Cool finds.

Great ID on the hand drill bot end.
@SOG Fielder was the finder and hasn't replied to any of the ID-now that they've been figured out.
