My hunting buddy and I both upgraded our machines this year. I went with the CTX3030 and he got an XPDEUS. We both had ATPROs so it was an interesting learning curve. He got out probably 25% more times than me, but we hunted together many times. This is the haul, minus some of his clad and a few bells and do on.
He finished with notable finds:
10 coppers including CT state, 1746
French Giana 1789
Dutch 1754
2 Trimes
1868 Shield Nickel
And a TON of wheats and Indians
I finished with:
1798 Spanish Reale
1858 seated dime
4 coppers including a nice 1802
New Hampshire Militia officers button
Mass. Volunteer Civil War button
And a Ton of Buttons and bells (9 in all)
And of course, we probably have a couple hundred pounds of nails, slag, bottle caps, hoes, shovels, axe heads and all the other rusty crap you can imagine.
A great year, and considering it was basically our first year out using research maps, I consider it a success. Hopefully next year will yield us a few old silvers! Happy Holidays and Happy Hunting!!
