I got out for a little bit after work yesterday and checked out one of the razed house sites.
Running the DeLeon with the 5.75 really allow you to get in between the trash and get to the goodies.
There were several marbles partially buried that caught my eye so I latched onto them. There are here somewhere as I was trying to take a pic and they rolled off under the desk. So I've officially lost my marbles, at least for now. lol
I uncovered a 1932D wheatie that's currently stuck in a potato. It's in pretty fair shape but will have to wait and see how it comes out. There was also a medicine bottle with just the neck sticking out. It came out whole but not embossed except for the co. mark on the base.
Finally, just before the rain started I got a signal of silver (which registers as 95), the same as coin. Coming out of about 2" of dirt was a round object that I couldn't identify at first but after a quick wash, an image of an airplane came through and I realized it was a watch fob. There's no writing on it but the image is of Wilber Wright at KittyHawk on his 1st powered flight.
Thanks for looking and a quick apology for a long read.

Thanks everybody. I just love old razed house sites and with the rain we're getting now, it looks like a lot more dirt is going to be washed out so who know what new finds will come to light. Keep swingin' and HH!

That's awesome Stoney. Wilbur and Orville Wright were first cousins of my grandmother, Emma Collins. I was watching adocumentary about them a few months ago, I think you have a very cool piece of history there. Congrats on the great finds!

stoney56,

sounds like you had a good hunt.

WTG Stoney, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice fob. what's the maker's mark on your bottle?
HH, Randy.

Randy, I'd say it's an A above an oblong diamond with an I in the middle and a 4 below.

Thanks all.

DJ, I kinda like it too although it's not fancy, it makes a statement.

Stan, that brisket was soooo good. Sorry you're stuck up that way, just keep your eyes open and your head covered. Will try to save something for that T-2.

Congrats!! Nice watch fob...if you find your marbles come help me find mine LOL

Some years back I found a sterling silver lapel pin that had Wright Bros Engine Co, circa 1924.

Keep diggin'

Randall

Looks like you had a great day. Nice finds. With all the rain it keeps the ground from drying out and makes it easier to dig.

Good 'un, Stoney!

(How deep was it? 'Cause if it fell from that plane, well... ::))

Hey Stoney,

Great watch fob!!!

Tell me, did you find that after leaving my house??????

Sorry about your marbles, it happens to me all the time.

Tom
