The world's most over-hyped (and slowest) moving sale EVAH
Back in mid-October, I went to a garage sale that had been listed on CL as a moving sale. Very nice house in a great neighborhood. There was some stuff in the garage and a few things in the house but pretty slim pickin's overall. I picked up a couple of cameras and a pneumatic nail gun. Nothing great but I made about $50. A few months later, these same folks had another sale. The address looked familiar to me and Google Street View confirmed it as the same site. I wasn't going to go but the listing made it sound like there was some additional merchandise. Nope. Just a small amount of pretty worthless junk that looked like the same stuff from last time. Some cheapo dishes, a few textbooks, some crummy mass-produced art, used cell phone cases, pens & pencils, etc., etc.
So today I check the CL garage sale listings and see the same address with this text:
I think to myself... "Self, what is going on here? 3 moving sales at the same location in 6 months. And now they have "rooms full" of 'ah-mazing' things? I gotta check it out."
I swear, I don't think they sold a single thing since I was there 2 months ago. Just a small amount of worthless crap. Yes, they still had a few pieces of furniture inside and some old clothes in a couple of closets but "rooms full"? Hardly.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Really POed at myself for letting these people sucker me in again.
