This was our last day on the Pea's, so our objective was to fill the gap between Day 5 Grid & Day 1 Grid. It nearly killed me but we finished it in 7.5 hrs, felt more like 10 with the speed I was going & the large amount of digs.
Puts us in a good position to know where to start after harvest.

A great finish for the field, bagging 130 targets, many great looking keepers.
It will certainly be a field near the top of the list for a post harvest return.
Is this a worked field or a no-till?

Crusader your posts are AMAZING !!! Thank you for posting them for us !!

incredible site you've got there. Can't wait to see what you find when you're able to get back on it
Yes, it will be at the top of our list after harvest. We are not used to Pea's, so no idea when & whether the stalks are detectable straight away. But we will keep an eye out.

Probably better than beans for stubble height, though there might be more chaff rows to deal with.

Field of freekin dreams.
Not counting the hammered coins of course, you got a couple of things in one hunt I've never got, the linked silver cuff links, and a seal matrix.
WHAT A PILE. Must take you awhile to clean it all up at the end of the day.
Do you just throw the common buttons, (and coins, more modern coppers) into buckets ? I've picked out a lot 'stuff' and put baggies / boxes myself. Plain buttons as well.

What takes the most time is cleaning the lead ready for recycling.
All plain & 4 holed buttons go into big tubs.
All blank Georgian coppers go into a bin, & will be recycled one day.
