Recently I discovered the book of books for Maritime Researchers
The Maritime Information Guide.
Published by the Maritime Information Assoc. of Great Britian
It is a had back A-4 sized book
It lists each and every Library - Museum - Maritime Organisation etc..etc.....
in the UK
Not only does it give their name and full contact details
it lists each and every Marine Collection that they hold !!!!!
And the index in the rear not only gives Names of the Institutions
BUT it gives the names of the collections so that you can look up
say " Richmond Brothers Shipbuilders " and it refers you to the page
where the inst that holds the records are !
So if you are seeking information on a shipwreck or a ship
you know where to contact for Plans or Photos or Insurance details !
And the Cost £12-50 inc post and packing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (The UK and Europe)
