The twins came and ate acorns under the big oak in the back yard last night while I was cooking on the grill. We've watched them since they were born, just tiny little fawns. They have visited the yard pretty much every day all summer. At first they came with their mom, but for quite a while now they come by themselves and spend the day, while the older ones wait until dusk. The twins are pretty used to us and will let us walk fairly close to them as long as we don't seem to be paying attention to them -- if we make eye contact, they'll put more distance between us, but they seldom go very far. These pictures were taken with them about fifteen or twenty feet from where I was standing.
