That coin has seen better days I would say but at almost a 150 years old it doing better than I will be at that age

To further the cent penny argument Wikipedia states that the USA uses a cent

I was at a bank once and my two dogs had to pee. Took them out to do their business and a security gaurd came up to me. Pointing at a sign and said "the sign says no dogs. I said "the signs wrong" "it should read 2 dogs"

See if you can locate the L for Longacre(the designer) on the ribbon. That variety is worth more then the no L type. Too bad about the corrosion. Nice find though!

Well Wickaboag, I for one would love to find an Indian Head cent in one of the penny boxes. Now I just have to go to bank to ask to buy a penny box to find this coveted cent. Thanks for posting and congrats on the find. HH

Florida, you seem to be the only one lately who has anything nice to say. Thank you for that.
They always say volume is key. And I think it is. Just keep looking, I was complaining how everyone on TNET was getting some last week but me, and boom. It was in the first few handfuls out of the bag.
I've searched probably 10 penny bags. (50$ each) and 30-40 boxes an this was first IH I was slow to get my first hoping for another on by summer. good luck!

Silver quarter? Nice! I haven't been lucky with them lately. I pick up $100 here and there and have high hopes. But, I got 250 silver quarters to look at when I need to. I've had good luck with them before and just have to push through the skunks. Best of luck!
