Todays mission was to scout a new 4000acre permission, of which just over 400acres is still available. To narrow that total to about 7 fields Cru'dad had some researched intel. Only 1 of the targets produced good signs of Roman activity. See pic1 for Pot Shards. Sadly it only produced 1 Scrappy, although it needs a better grid to work it out. I'm happy to add this Roman Site to the list, just not a very productive one.
After 3.5 hours of scouting we decided to fall back to The Track-Way Site, as we were still getting scrappies when we gave up. As todays luck went, the scatter finished with just 1 more scrappy in 2 hours.
So Track-Way Site completed & another new plan needed for the next hunt.

Pictures 1&2 (New permission) & 3-6 (Track-Way)

I did manage my first 1st Royal Dragoon's Button circa 1830s
Cru'dad got our first North Wales 1793 Token (Farthing)
So not a bust, but the end of another silver streak.

Cru', love the dragoon button...is the north Wales token/farthing the round piece with the hole? Not a bad day in my book...bits of roman pottery are always cool to find! Your bar is pretty high so I can see why you might see it as a near flop...

Nope that's the Lead Token, the N.Wales Farthing is below touching it. Looks like this;

There will be a couple more sites to find on the new permission. Up to another silver streak!
