Checkout the pictures of this NJ beach at 6AM this morning. Sorry about the fog, the sun never came out. Anyway Jersey is always trying to stay ahead of mother nature. By replenishing the beaches even during the summer. This beach is very low compared to 9 blocks in another direction. There you almost need a ladder to climb down to get to the waters edge. I haven't been on this beach in 2 weeks. It appears the City piled a large amount of sand right at this location. Basically a mountain of sand that is now getting eaten up by high tide. I don't mean to bore you but I am still trying to figure out what happened here. Most logical assumption is where you see the water coming into the pile I suspect they used a front end loader and scooped the surf or removed sand from underneath the boardwalk where they have a big built up.
I walked down in front of the eroding pile and it was like Christmas in July. Targets everywhere the scoop was coming up with 2,3,4 coins at a time only a few inches down. I worked this area for about an hour and you can see the amount of change. And as you can see most of the coins weren't fried. Then here is the clincher I go around and play king of the mountain checking up on top. Started getting some more clad then my first ring since May. It appears to be womens plated with tiny fake diamonds all the way around. Two minutes later the mens gold ring. Appears to be the real deal although there are no markings inside.
Can't wait for a few storms to move this sand out.
