I found this small (about the size of a dime and very thin) metal piece commemorating The Mystic Seaport and featuring the Charles W. Morgan wooden whaleship built in 1841 and is the oldest known commercial vessel still in existence. It was built in Bedford, MA and brought to Mystic in 1941. It has gone through a few restorations.

This was on land from the late 1800s but I suspect this is from some commemorative piece from the 1940s...but cannot find any such similar things.

Any ideas? Thanks!

As it's not double sided or have more of a uniform coin/token thickness to it, I'm suspicious it's maybe a identification marker for some type of souvenir than a coin/token.
