I haven't got to do much hunting in the last couple of weeks as my family was here in Spain for a visit. There was 4 adults and 5 grandchildren. The grand kids are all 17 but one (16) so as you can see I have been busy.
I did a 2.5 hr stint at Alicanti and it was fantastic. There was a trench opened that was 15 feet wide and 50 feet long. There was so many signals it was very hard to pin-point and with the rocks exposed it made it tough recovering targets. I ended up with 3 gold rings and over 70 coins plus 5 silver rings and 2 religious metals. Total on spendable money was 20 euro's and 1800 pesetas. I would like to have hunted longer but I wore myself out scooping and I only covered a little over half of the area. Thanks for lookin and have a nice summer diggin.

It's just unbelievable how many rings you are able to recover from the surf! I haven't been reading the forum very closely for a while, so I must have missed some of your post, so could you recap your current amount of rings this season, silver and gold? Also how much Euros? Thanks!

Hi Paul:

My gold count for the year is 52 and my silver is 104. I have about 300 euro's which is down from last year for several reasons. 1. I haven't hunted as much, 2. more hunters in the water, 3. several of the best beaches have been sanded in this spring.

Awesome!

My finds for the season feel ridiculous compared to that, as I have only managed to pull a little less than 20 silver rings, zero gold, and about €105 in spendable. But I'm just dirt fishing here in lousy Finland!

If it had been just sand I could have hunted longer but a couple hundred scoops of rock gets to be pretty heavy. I also had the surf to contend with and just ran out of gas. Like you said, there was lots of targets still left but thats the way the belly buttons.

Thanks T-Man, there were more gold there but I just didn't swing over them. You don't find cuts like that very often but when you do, it sure is fun.
