XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Today we were racing the dropping sun after work as we managed to squeeze in 2.5 hours gridding & have now complete 99% of the site. We are currently behind the 8 ball & had our lowest Aug, in terms of hours hunted. (due to a family holiday)
It wasn't the best finish but it wasn't bad either;

15 Roman Coins - 1 OK one
Cru'dad's Star Find - Henry VIII Coin Weight (for weighing a Gold Half-Sovereign) - We rarely get these early types especially in this condition (PS. another FIRST for the collection);
King on Throne
Crown over X over S

What we did manage to do is get our best yearly total for this field of 114 Roman Bronze Coins in a year. Our best was 101. Pretty good as every year we are taking more off.

A coin weight for a gold coin is a fine find! Especially for a gold coin minted only a short period. I did not see you posting a coin weight for some time and now a rare one! :hello2:

Yeap, there is only 1 series of coin weights early than this, that we produced in Britain, so I'm happy I could ID it. Although I'm not sure if its classed as 'rare' in the coin weight circles, I just checked the collection & it's our first of its type.:icon_thumright:

Always enjoy your finds.Congrats
