Thanks Drawman. We had one foot out the door today. I could see 50' flames less than a mile away. They stopped and its moving around to the north. The DC-10 had 4 drops today. Still on edge. People are losing their homes.
I can deal with the smoke but day after day, seeing some of the most beautiful country devastated is a bit gut wrenching. 335 square miles and counting.
They will have to release his name sooner or later. They sure were quick to try to lay the blame on pot growers. Anyone familiar with the area knows how extremely rugged and remote this area is. I find it odd that someone willing to pack a deer out of that wilderness was careless with fire. He must have had a boat of some kind. I still think it was more likely the 100 or so kayakers were responsible. Meanwhile the smoke is still quite thick.
I heard they opened 120, I was considering taking a drive, but not sure I really want to see it. They said on the news the hunter was in the Jawbone ridge area........used to camp in that area when I was a kid.
