Lots of redundant steam heating systems need to go.

474 photos of electrical/heating demolition.
200 sheets of 4-5ft x 8-10ft checkerplate on the floors for what was used for material handling.


Lots of thought needs to be done now.

Got home today and Max was all lovey-dovey.
Leaning into me, then look over his shoulder at the Mrs.
I was asking him what happened.

Well the Mrs took him for a spa day. He came home and barfed on the carpet.

Payback 🤣

We just about had an accident 10 minutes later. Took Max out for a walk, he was having a wizz. He took off towards this pine tree at the corner of the driveway.

I saw something move, and yanked Max to a dead stop. 6 more inches he would have gotten a face full of quills.
So close to the house too.

That Porcupine "was" a real good size.
Maybe it was the same one that nailed the neighbor's 2 dogs.

3 light fittings we took the globes out of as they flickered and stopped. Taped the switches.
Four power outlets zero power. Did the same.
Lounge old leds downlights flicker and dim. 2 of 4. Stopped using those two.
Our power board we were told yrs out of date.
The truth. We live in fear where we are. We have put our own fire alert sensors in all rooms. When we came was 1. Law here requires numerous everywhere.

This is industrial/manufacturing type Stuff, and has been all safely done.
Just totally out of date.
You have to live in something that isn't safe.
Now I'd be looking for somewhere else to live.
Getting your own detector alarms is a good thing.

I feel sorry for many here about to go through Christmas with extreme losses incured by the 2 back to back storms which has yet to be cleaned fully up and will have lasting effects for some time to come.
So many people here are displaced with no where to go.
So many homes and businesses have closed the doors.
So many with damage that cannot be replaced due to rules and regulation of 50% rule which prohibits it...
This basically says that if the amount (cost to fix) your structure exceeds 50% of its value it cannot be repaired and must be demolished.
Insurance companies are bucking all over.
Fema helps but only a fraction of what is actually needed.
Already 1.2 million metric cubic yards of debri has been removed YET no one i know has had any removed.
Its a F-ing mess.
