Exhausted....... these take a huge toll on ya.
Anxiety being the ratcheted up the most.
Fear... should be self explanatory.
Indecision... have to know when to hold tight or leave.... which is REAL biatch.... for hotels sell out in hours... and then you will be driving at least 2 hours away (normal drive time)... if you wait... then farther and the drive time can double and even triple in length due to bumper to bumper traffic.

If you decide to stay and crap goes wrong your screwed.
So...
All this on your mind constant and your brain is pinballing all this the entire time.

The possibility of it going from "just a storm with blah blah" TO "life changing or worse event"... is a big spread and pure stress.

Its the "not knowing" that is the fuel for all of the above and the absolute worst.
Ok @ARC it's time to break out the camera and take some pictures.

You said it yourself Regarding seeing a picture....
(Just kidding ya)

Glad to hear it's only a bunch of limbs/branches etc.

That stuff is an easy to handle in the big picture.

And not long after Helene was in the Gulf I got to thinking you were staying home.
Which meant committed to staying regardless of what happened.
People hearing your shouts and thinking it's a family member or pet you're crying out for after the hurricane has passed.
Stella! Stella! Where are you?
