Learning the 800 I decided to go on level 1 recovery speed. This park is old and about 8” or more or river sand is on top due to the river over flow over many years. The 800 hit the dime very consistent at 10” as well as the wheat. Can wait to go back when I have more time. Question should I put it in beach mode due to the sand or leave it I park 1? It’s a very old park I’ve only found one SLQ, IHP and some Buffalos in the four years I’ve been hunting. But with the 800 I did find that 1858 US Infantry hat pin last week. The 800 have got me excited about this park again and it only 10 mins from my house not a hour like City Park in New Orleans:)) IMG_2793.JPGIMG_2798.JPG

That’s a nice looking Merc. I’m no 800 expert but I would say to keep it in park 1 unless you’re experiencing falsing due to bad ground. Good luck

looks like you have opened up an old spot, keep doing what is working at least for a while

It feels good when something was nothing for so long and then it opens up to something wonderful. That hat pin know this silver has my blood flowing again. I love this hobby dirtlooter. It’s like a rollercoaster ride.

I don't know how easy it is to switch to a different program on your machine but I recently tried a new program on the deus
for deep coins and when I got a faint deep sound I could easily switch to other programs and see if they also worked. Its amazing
how one of my goto programs didn't even whisper. Also once the hole is dug I can put the contents back in( hopefully an old coin) and
check other programs. I actually think the best answer is experiment as many ways possible and never quit experimenting. Try one
spot and go back with different programs or different settings. I found my first walking liberty half next to a fence only 4-5
inches down with a lower frequency on a program. I had been over that spot countless times with different settings. These machines
are too complicated? I found one IH penny last year and that new deep coin program I found 2 in one week in spots I already had hit
