Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Was out metal detecting a lake when a lady signaled me. she wanted to know if my "thing" could detect gold and silver. I told her yes and she explained that her husband had lost his gold and silver wedding ring in the lake earlier today. I asked if she knew roughly where and she showed me a 100' by 100' area of where he lost it. Which was great usually people tell you some where in the lake. I told her I would try but couldn't guarantee anything. I gridded the area and dug a couple of deep signals with my At Pro. About an hour later I got a strong 95 high signal and new it was at least silver. First scoop and I saw this massive silver and gold ring in my scoop. I didn't have my phone so didn't get a picture of it. I yelled to the wife and held up the ring, she was crying and he was ecstatic. I dug a quarter and 5 pull tabs after that but didn't really care because I felt great. This is the other type of treasure we find.

Thanks looking

Congrats and Honorable Mention from me as well!

Great job on the ring recovery, congratulations! :occasion14: :occasion14:

It sure was their lucky day. Looking for a specific ring in an area 100 x 100 in the water and sand is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Easier said than done. I'm gonna throw in my Honorable Mention also. Great find, and story.

Kickass!

Thanks for giving us detectorists a good name.

Being in the right place at the right time. Golden. Congratulations.
