The only remaining operable "streamlined" steam locomotive of the Art Deco era.

I was out MD'ng this morning with Silvergurl and we didn't find anything so we decided to call it a day. On the way home we say lots of people lined up along the RR tracks so we asked them whats going on. We were told that an old steam engine was gonna be coming along any minute so we raced back to the woods far away from all of the crowds. We had some time to kill so we walked up to an older man that had 3 or 4 cameras up and asked some questions. He was more than happy to share his love of trains with us and even showed us some previous videos of this particular train. Here is my video, enjoy.

:tongue3: Totally reminded me of Thomas the Train. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shining_Time_Station :laughing9:

It was very nice of that gentleman to share that info (and vids) of the train. Nice piece of train history. Glad raced back and and stayed for that.

I forgot to add, that there was that passenger car full of people, the man at the tracks told us that anyone could have purchased a trip on it and the train would dock overnight at select cities. There were folks waving and someone was also taking either a video or pictures with what looked to be a long range lens as he rode down the tracks half way out the window. Very cool.

Lowbatts, LOL Too cute. Watched that show as a kid.

There is a guy down the street from me that is on that train. He's been on it for two weeks traveling around the states. I am waiting for him to get back so I can get permission to hunt his property. This was a lead from my landlord. That is pretty cool that you guys just happened to be there when it passed through. Small world.

I could just see Jim West's private car at the end of that train.
My favorite show when I was a kid. Really would have been cool to see that go by.
