JohnnyRev, glad you solved it. I got stuck when I found the A through P string when the key for Declaration of independence on cipher 1.

It sounds like you've worked very hard on this. I know the feeling. I've been working on a mystery for 25 years now. I think I've solved it but restricted from actually digging up the location.

Perhaps you may wish to check out some of the postings on TNet where it has already been identified that the Beale Code story is a later version of an earlier, well circulated treasure story called 'Treasure Mountain' from the 1840s.

it seems someone went to great extents to develop the ciphers to do a retell of a well circulated story.

I don't know much about them myself. I did read the Wikipedia article on it.
I do say that the Legend of Troy was thought to be fake, a retelling of other events.
Then Schliemann discovered the city. Now scholars, say yes, Troy is real, but the Trojan war is fake and made up? I also know Christen scholars once said the earth was flat and the heavens revolved around the earth.

I personally hope the story is true and Mr. JohnnyRev or someone does discover the treasure. Whether large or small. It's the quest that counts.
