Today Bob and i revisited our 1920`s house with each of us going in different directions.
I was using my large performance coil to try to get used to it.
My first hole got quite large without finding the target so i marked it with a roll of blue tape thinking i`d go back to it for my last dig.
With both of us finding cool toy cars and wheats after a couple of hours, Bob walked back over to my area with both of us about to call it a day.
i invited Bob to check out my first hole and keep what ever was there.
He found a British 1920 one cent piece and held on to it through all of my whining :tard:and photos.
As we began to pack it up he offered it back to me and i gladly accepted. Thanks Bob

It looked better dirty and turned really green with a wet, well used toothbrush soaked in vinegar.

Thanks again Bob and for everyone eyeballing this post.

Yeah.. cool coin. When I first dug it up, I thought it was another clad Kennedy half. I found one about 60 yards from there, last week. Bill appreciated that coin more than I would have and since he started the hole, he deserved it.

Thanks folks. Apparently there was a half penny in the same era that looked exactly like the penny except "One Penny" was replaced by "Half Penny". I'm not sure if it was the same size.

no the half penny was smaller

Thanks for clearing that up. I only saw pictures but didn't see anything about size.

Bob here`s a pic for size comparison.

Thanks for your interest Ivan.
A woman i met at the laundromat said she received it her pocket change some time back and wanted me to find out how much it was worth.
After research i found out they run anywhere from face value to $400 UNC.
Returned it to her and purchased it for $9.00 which was what the coin is going for on E-bay in worse shape. She knew i`d take good care of it.
I like anything from the civil war era.

Bill
