That silver key end thing is pretty cool, not seen one quite like it.

The Roman, Cru'dad will update soon.

It was good to see you out, on your phone, might be another advantage of mine, other than the coil:laughing7:

No, it's the app that blocks constant text messages from the missus I'm having trouble with:laughing7:

well done and nice for cru and his dad to take you out

Great detail on the roman! The hammered looks like the coins we put on railroad tracks as kids...

Funny thing was, I had no Roman Coins that day. Also this coin was probably the best we have seen from this site, which is surprising when you think we have had nearly 200. So it was a good day, what surprised me more was the lack of hammered in the massive area he covered, specially as Dad & I had a feeling it was the most likely spot. It was a 50/50 decision that decided the results - you go left, I go right, simple as that! (however, the 11" coil does have a massive advantage on uneven ploughed land)

I know, but it means that so far this year I've had a hammered every time out:laughing7:

Thats life i guess. Better take the right side of the field! Sometimes You cross the row of Your buddy for some reason and pick up a coin he MUST had under his coil.... Who knows? I always use the 11" coil as it's the standard XP coil here. I dont like the ankle breaking fields though.... We have a fresh drilled one left. I hope to get out of the shop for a couple hours this week.

It wasn't an ankle breaker, as it was fairly light soil, just raised rows which meant the coil was 2" off the lower sections, it makes all the difference on hammered & hammered halves. As you say the 11" has been my standard ever since I tried it. (but its expensive)
