Radical new tire design by Michelin.

If these work as stated and the cost isn't sky high, these tires are sure to cause big changes in the tire industry.

No more Fix-a-flat, no more air compressors, no more spare tires,no more auto jacks, no more tools rattling in the trunk.

Will some business' s go out of business :dontknow:

Just think of the impact on existing technology:
A. No more air valves..
B. No more air compressors at gas stations...
C. No more repair kits..
D. No more flats...

The good news for me and the bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these. :laughing7:

saw them advertised a year or 2 ago.
I would imagine probably the cost of 3 or 6 sets of regular high priced ones,
so it's still like keeping your vehicle in tires as long as you have it.

& yes I would at least bet law enforcement isn't happy & just sitting back
saying "cool" except maybe for them only to have them, & illegal for the general pubic.

I'd drive by them with my hand waving under my chin, going na, na, na, nah, na :laughing9:

VET COUPE.jpg

I have a set of low-profile (about 2 inches) 'Run-Flats' on my C5 Vet which is original equipment...

Can get up to 200 miles on a flat tire...no kit or air compressor required...

No spare (no room)...

Run-Flat tires are about one third more expensive than regular tires.

That would really suck if the nearest repair station was 210 miles away :laughing7:

I've seen the tires you're talking about Stephen, but how do you know when driving you even have a flat :icon_scratch:

I guess when you wake up the next day and have to be somewhere important is when you actually see that it's flat. :laughing7: Don't get me wrong, it's still 100% better than the alternative of being stranded :laughing7:

I had the same thought.

unless you ran over the cops spikes,
or been shot at running from a cop,
why would you check for holes ?

or porcupine wedged up under the wheel well.
or stuck to the tire making a thump as it turns.

of course if your tire was low enough to make you notice, I guess you would check

Already rides like a skateboard...imagine riding on a flat...probably could tell the date on a thin dime...

2" TYRES and no spare? Not a car for Sparty. Useless for drug smuggling! :P

Can I borrow your vette?

NO!

Beleive it or not, my wife has never driven it either...

Told her it would be over my dead body...I now carry and sleep with my PK, and had resort to a 500' Restraining Order...

(Its a 2004 and has less than 27000 miles on it)

Apparently you just drive it to the mailbox and back!

Come on, Let Trucker and I take it to the farm and blow the cob webs out for you! :occasion14:
